Hike Hakone Hachiri is a licensed Japanese tour operator specializing in guided hiking tours for inbound visitors. We focus specifically on the stunning Fuji, Hakone, Izu National Park, just s short distance from Tokyo. Despite the global fame of this National Park, most of the Park sees few international visitors and our aim is to get clients off the beaten path. We offer day and multi-day hiking programs at intermediate level along rivers, waterfalls, crater lakes, beaches along the Pacific coast, forests and volcanoes. This area has also played a formative role in making the Japanese nation, so we also take in the Shogun and Last Shogun stories. We use a variety of accommodation from traditional to casual so there is something different each night. Daily hiking lengths can be customized to group’s ability. Your guide, Japanese-fluent local forester and historian Tony Everitt. Tony, originally from New Zealand, has lived in Japan for over a decade. Fascinated by the ancient and modern aspects of the Tokaido route connecting Japan’s main centers along the Pacific coast of Honshu, he has committed to providing easy access and engaging interpretation for international visitors. Tony is originally a forester by profession, but has spent 3 decades in tourism in several locations around Asia/Pacific.
